Sarracenia 'Bug?Bat' - Red?Hooded Carnivorous Pitcher Plant- Sarracenia Hybrid
Sarracenia 'Bug?Bat', a stunning carnivorous pitcher plant cultivar that has striking red-hooded pitchers, chartreuse bases, and decorative white speckling!
This hybrid pitcher plant features upright, pointed hoods that are cinnamon-red, fading into chartreuse green at the base, with small white ?windows? (areoles) on the hood backs.
Believed to be a cross potentially derived from S.?alata S.?psittacina S.?minor var.?okefenokeensis, first cultivated by David Crump (originating from a seedling by Larry Mellichamp).
Pitchers can reach approximately 14?16 inches tall, with a spread of 10?16 inches When Mature.
Use containers buried or partially submerged in bog areas to replicate natural conditions; drill drainage holes and fill with peat for proper moisture retention
Vigorous and clumping, capable of forming dense colonies over time
