AFRICA Ghana Tribal Native Mask Hand Carved Wood - Tin Overlays - Snake On Head Click images to enlarge Description African Ghana stunning large wood hand carved mask with lovely pounded tin embellishments. Mask has a carved snake on top of mask head. Measures approximately 18" long x 10" wide. Normal scuffs, scratches, marks from age and handling. Mask does have a crack in the wood on the bottom back of the mask but it cannot be seen very well from the front. Most likely caused by wood shrinkage from age. The mask looks like it originally had a piece of leather for hanging but that is gone and someone put a eye screw at the top of the back for hanging. There is a old piece of masking tape on the back that has a note written on it that reads as follows: 10 x 18 Ghana 1008 Please look at photos for details. Great collector item.
