Item description
NATURAL URANIUM ROCK
COFFINITE
Weight: 37 oz. (2 lbs 5 oz.) VERY BIG !
Radiation: 35,200 CPM (upper-midrange radioactivity)
Price: $40.00 + $14.00 shipping
This rock was found at Jurassic Canyon uranium
field, 18 miles from Gallup NM. This uranium field
is the richest in the USA, and fourth richest
in the entire world.
The COFFINITE uranium rock was named after
Prof. Reuben Coffin, the American geologist
who discovered this important mineral. Some
"rockhounds" make jokes about this mineral,
suggesting that its named after a burial box
for a dead body, hinting that this mineral's
discoverer died at a young age. That joke is
totally FALSE; Prof. Reuben Coffin lived to
the age of eighty-six, which certainly is a
full-length lifetime, by anyone's standard !
This rock, with its HEAVY WEIGHT of two
pounds five ounces, is the heaviest uranium
rock I have offered for sales during the past
five years.
$40.00 plus $14.00 shipping
