Item description
Natural Uranium Rock
TYUYAMUNITE
Weight: 4.2 oz. Radioactivity: 27,500. CPM
$22.00 plus $12.80 shipping
This rock was found/collected at the Jurassic
Canyon uranium field, located near Grants NM.
TYUYAMUNITE is one of the five uranium
minerals that are found at this uranium
field. This mineral relates to CARNOTITE,
and results from natural weathering of its
"parent" type of rock. This rock type
sometimes has a bright yellow color, the
natural color of uranium oxide: U3-O8.
In the attached photos, the WHITE DOT
identifies the surface spot with the
strongest radioactive response.
