Item description
This is a vintage Goebel miniature porcelain barn owl figurine, made in West Germany. It is model 38313, although this one is not stamped or embossed with that number. Based on the sticker logo I believe it was made in the 1970s. You can see that there is a date written on the bottom (5-7-88), but that is unrelated to the manufacture date. I got this owl years ago from a neighbor who collected animal figurines, and she was in the habit of marking them with the date she received them. I'm fairly certain that ink would come off with some alcohol if you wished to remove it, but I didn't try because I have a tremor and thought I might accidentally ruin the adhesive on the foil sticker.
Figurine is 2.25" tall and hand painted with a high-gloss glaze finish. The paint is all intact and looks great. There is some mild crazing to the glaze, but that is pretty normal for these older figurines. Other than the writing on the bottom, I see no issues to mention. Asking $12.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.

ALL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICKUP.
I sell a huge variety of stuff to supplement my income and help me put the last of my kids through college. Some items come from flea markets or estate sales, and some come from around our home, but many items come to me from my extended family of hardcore hoarders. So, the variety really can be vast and unpredictable. Please check back often, because you really never know what I will have from one day to the next!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
