Add a favorite sticker, stencil, paint on them and I am sure you can find many other ways to decorate them. But of course you can just clip these onto a candle lamp/chandelier just the way they are. All my plain color paper shades are the same color inside as they are outside. All my mini shades are made for chandeliers, sconces or candle lamps clip onto a tapered candelabra or night light bulb. They will NOT fit on regular size light bulbs.
