Item description
MURDER IN THE WIND by John D. MacDonald
Dell Books, First Edition, 1956
Condition: Near Fine
Was John D. MacDonald the best of the paperback writers? Like many others, he wrote them prolifically for many years (eventually graduating to hardbacks), but many noted writers, some of whom acknowledge his influence, still sing his praises. MURDER IN THE WIND was one of his best Dell First Editions -- a story of Nature's violence (a hurricane) and of 13 persons who take shelter in a house and demonstrate the violence of human nature. Minor cover edge wear and red dye staining from the page edges. Some numbers written on the last page (an ad). Despite this, book appears to be unread. An uncommonly nice copy.
