Item description
c.1910 WSC Horn Handled Milk Glass Stein /Mug –Brown cased with a Standing Elk Monochrome Transfer.
Made by Westmoreland Specialty Company in the early 1900’s , Mug was made to look like Rookwood pottery. A Momochrome transfer of assorted Tavern scenes, elks, or mottoes were used to decorate them.
Stein/Mug in nice condition –has one wee chip on edge of the ‘horn’ –see pic. Any agelines [small hairline cracks] are due to age and nature of /or elements in the glass mixture and will be found in most old milk [opal / opaque] glass.
Please let me know if you’d like more history and where to find reference materials on items like these from WSC. I’d be happy to give you the info I do have and where you may ask for even further help.
