Item description
Welcome to
GENTLEMAN JOHN’S ORGANIC GARDEN
MARTHA WASHINGTON GERANIUM LIVE PLANT (5) STARTER
PREMIUM CUTTINGS HOUSE PLANT, POTTED OR GARDEN
Mother plant is a healthy and
beautifully vibrant maiden producing medium sized burgundy-purple and white
mixed flower clusters.
A strong mounding annual that produces
dozens of flowering burgundy-purple-white mixed clusters. Takes full sun wonderfully with minimal
watering or fertilizing.
You will receive five (5) cuttings
ranging in a perfect size for propagation of 3 to 5 inches (some may be larger
than 5 inches). Cuttings will have leaves (1 to 3) per stem. Cuttings do
not have
roots.
Bloom season: Spring, Summer and Fall
Sun:
Loves sun. Takes full sun 6+ hours
Height: up to 36”
Width: up to 24”
Spacing: 18-24”
Foliage: Medium full lighter green
Not hardy below 32 degrees F. Potted plants can be moved inside and can
bloom even in winter.
Water two times per week. Cuttings watered more often—keep soil moist
to root.
O Once received, you may plant immediately.
· You do not need a
rooting compound.
· Dunk stem in water (you could, but not necessary, crush a
Vitamin C tablet and put the powder in a
cup of water and then dunk stem) and place in soil.
· Keep the soil moist and in a few weeks new leaves will
appear, rooting has taken off.
· Geraniums grow big and fast and will flower in about two to
three months, even in winter when
temperatures are above 45-50 degrees (when winters are very cold, move plant inside if you want it to flower
year round).
Geraniums grow great in terra cotta
pots. The larger the pot, the larger the
plant will grow.
Is a geranium an
annual or perennial?
Though most geraniums are
grown as annuals, they are perennials in Zones 10–11. Bring them
indoors to overwinter, if you like, then replant outdoors in spring. (Or they
can bloom indoors all year long if they get enough light.)
A FEW DESIGNING IDEAS WITH GERANIUMS
Geraniums are an excellent
choice for sunny beds and borders, tucked in with other annuals and
perennials.
Cluster a large pot with many
different colors or only a couple of colors that will bring out the
character or style of your room or garden.
Grow zonal geraniums in large
groups for a burst of color from spring to fall.
Containers are ideal for
geraniums, especially in colder climates where they need to be brought in
over winter.
Geraniums are perfect for
cottage gardens.
Grow indoors as a houseplant to
brighten up a room.

Please Note:
There are no returns on live cuttings. If there are problems with the
cuttings you received let us know immediately. If the U.S Postage service
is the blame damaging your package (cuttings), let us know. The success
rate of a cutting depends on you and the care you take. If you do not
have experience in propagating cuttings please visit Youtube. There are
many good videos on Youtube that will show you how to propagate successfully. It is easy.
