Vintage Lucien Piccard Pendant Maharajah Sultan Indian Turban Figural Designer Signed Jewelry Ornate Statement Runway Piece Fancy Headdress Feather Collar Garb Ethnic Asian India Far Eastern Prince King Man’s Bust Gold Plating Goldtone Finish Faux Pearl Gem Realistic Face Head THE CHAIN IN THE PHOTOS IS NOT INCLUDED This is a striking and dramatic vintage figural pendant designed by Lucien Piccard and signed on the back. It is highly detailed and of excellent quality. I am guessing that the pendant represented an Asian figure of Royalty wearing a feathered collar and a full turban. The turban has a faux pearl gem embedded in the center of the head piece. The man has a Fu Man Chu style mustache. I have inset a couple of pictures into the images that show what similar turbans looked like on two different men. The pendant measures approximately 4 inches tall to the top of the bail by 2 inches wide. At the top is an attached goldtone bail. I believe the pendant to be gold plated because in tiny spots the silver underneath appears to shine through. The chain in the pictures is not included. This ornate pendant is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It has very light wear, consistent with age, especially on the inside of the bail where a chain would have rubbed. I have not polished it as many people prefer the patina that only comes with age. Depending on your own taste, I will leave any polishing up to you; you can keep it in the same condition with its original patina or polish it. There are small areas where the gold plating has a silvery appearance, but you only see this with magnification. This impressive pendant would be perfect for anyone who collects vintage figural jewelry. It is a wearable piece of sculptural art, a rare hard to find piece for any collector.
