Item description
Summary
Christopher Nolan relaunched the cinematic Batman in epic fashion, having Christian Bale don the cowl of the caped crusader and retelling the Dark Knight's origins in Batman Begins. Then the Batman reeled against the craziness of the Joker in The Dark Knight. Finally, wrapping up his trilogy, Nolan introduced movie audiences to a more vicious and intelligent Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, hopefully erasing forever the blemish that was Bane in the Schumacher version with Poison Ivy and Mister Freeze (Batman and Robin, 1997). The Knightfall series that chronicled the downfall of the Batman at the mechanisms of Bane was epic in proportion at the time of its release throughout the summer of 1993 in Batman, Detective Comics, Showcase '93, and to lesser extent, Legends of the Dark Knight. For those who thought the Batman was an invincible mere mortal were shocked at the brutality and finality of the series. A must-have for Batman fans.
