This is the ultimate disposal. My previous InSinkErator was a 3/4 hp model that worked well and I used it daily for 15 years. It was still working when I replaced it but I always replace things before they go bad as a preventative measure. This new one is almost completely silent compared to the previous. Double grind feature assures little chance of pipe plug. Highly recommend.
