When choosing cookware for my adult son, who is becoming an amazing chef, I chose Revere Ware. My mother had it for 50 years, and it was still in great shape when she passed it on to my daughter. I've tried nearly every type of cookware, and they were disappointing when compared to Revere Ware, so I decided that my son should learn from my experience, and not replace his cookware every few years. Some of the items are prohibitively expensive for an adult starting out on their own, so I decided to supplement his set with some gently used more expensive items such as the pressure cooker (he hadn't ever used one), tea pot, different size measuring 'pots', etc. We are both happy with these choices.
