Vintage original First Draft script from the 1980's TV soap opera-themed sitcom, ALL IS FORGIVEN, created by Howard Gewirtz and Ian Praiser. It is from the series' pilot episode, On Air Commitment (Season 1, Episode 1), in which Paula (Bess Armstrong) is appointed producer, and scrambles to find time to get married to Matt (Ternence Knox). The cast includes David Alan Grier, Shawnee Smith, Bill Wiley, Judith-Marie Bergan, Deborah Richter, Valerie Landsburg, Carol Kane, Rick Lens, and Hamilton Camp. Written by creators Howard Gewirtz and Ian Praiser with Glen and Les Charles, this First Draft script is dated September 23, 1985. It consists of two acts in 49 pages on off-white stock which were 3-hole punched and bound with two brass brads between a yellow cardstock front and back cover. This script is complete in overall very fine condition with two stains and a diagonal scratch on the front cover. The episode was simply titled "Pilot" at the time this first draft was written. All is Forgiven is an American sitcom television series created by Howard Gewirtz and Ian Praiser that aired on NBC from March 20 until June 12, 1986 with the premiere episode being repeated as a "special presentation" on August 23, 1986. Bess Armstrong starred in the series as Paula Russell, the producer of a soap opera called All is Forgiven, who just married a donut executive with a teenage daughter.
