Based upon the famous novel by Charles Dickens, a gentle orphan discovers life and love in an indifferent adult world. The all-stars cast includes Freddie Bartholomew, Frank Lawton, Edna May Oliver, Elizabeth Allan, Jessie Ralph, Harry Beresford, Hugh Walpole, Basil Rathbone, W.C. Fields, Elsa Lanchester, and Lionel Barrymore. The image features an interior shot of David Copperfield (Frank Lawton) with Micawber (W.C. Fields). It comes from the personal collection of the film's director, George Cukor, and he subsequently gifted it to a gay couple who were friends and fans of his. It is in fine condition.
