Item description

Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the popular 1960's western drama, THE RARE BREED, released in 1966 by Universal Pictures and directed by William Alland. An English woman (Maureen O'Hara) and her daughter (Juliet Mills) enlist the aid of a cowboy (James Stewart) to try and get their hardy hornless bull to mate with the longhorns of Texas, but have to overcome greedy criminals and the natural elements. The image features a dramatic exterior scene depicting Simons (Jack Elam) pointing his rifle at Burnett (James Stewart), who offer to toss his gun onto the ground. Martha Price (Maureen O'Hara) rifles through her travel bag while her daughter, Hilary (Juliet Mills) provides aid to the man lying on the ground. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is scene card #1 from the set of 8 lobby cards. It is unrestored in fine+ condition with light signs of wear on the corners and a light 1.5 in. horizontal crease in the right half of the top border. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
