This pendant is simply breath taking! large and very unusual design! crafted in solid 14k yellow gold and set with large thick well rounded and well polished solid Harlequin pattern Australian Opal. this is not doublet or triplet but solid natural untreated Australian opal! opal has no cracks and no crazing. there are diamonds as well! please see how beautifully made it is! a work of Art! not marked as normal for a jewelry made before 1920 but fully tested to be 14k solid yellow gold or higher purity! it is Victorian or post Victorian item. the chain which comes with it is a later one and marked 14k and approx 17.5-18?. the pendant total lenght approx 27.8mm! - it is substantial cabochon which would make a huge ring if was set in a ring setting. please see photo near the ruler. opal is approx 22x14.5 mm and approx 11.81Ct. opal is well rounded and not thin, the neon fire is all over entire body of the opal! the diamonds are approx 1.8mm each - 10 total. there are 3 loops for the chain - please see photo. the chain can be removed and used searate with another pendant you may have. any spots are just light reflections on the photo from highly polished surfaces.as with most opals the colors are stronger on the Sun and direct indoor light and not so in a dark/low light. please see last photo for the indoor light which was used to take photos. this opal shows best colors with Sun/direct strong light. it is a birthstone for october! all in excellent condition! comes in a jewelry case and can be gifted immediately! smoke free environment and fast USA priority fully insured shipping! fast priority international shipping - please choose at the checkout! thank you
