Description Vintage 1930's 1940's WWII era day dress is maxi length with short sleeves and wrap style bodice. It has a shawl collar, one button at the bra/bust area, and two buttons at the waist, and one hip pocket in front. The skirt is A-line style and is wrap style, open to the hem except for a snap that was sewn to keep it shut at some point. I'm not sure if the snap was original to the dress, or sewn on later, but it looks original. I'm not sure what the fabric is, since this was hand made back in the WWII Era, but to me it looks and feels like Rayon. Whatever the fabric, it has nice fit and drape, and the print is a dark navy blue and off white. Condition is amazing, consistent with age and normal light, gentle use, I didn't find any issues of note. Still in wonderful condition, perfectly wearable, and honestly, I think this classic elegant vintage style could easily be worn today. Whoever owned this dress took very good care of it, and it's a perfect addition to any vintage ladies fashion collection. Maker~This is hand made, no labels of any kind. Size measures as small Fabric is unknown but could be Rayon. Measurements were taken with garment laying flat and measured side to side. Please take a few minutes to measure a similar garment you already own that fits you well, and compare those measurements to the measurements given to insure proper fit. Bust is about 17 inches across measured under arms and across bra area Waist is about 17 inches across Hips measure about 24 inches across Length from shoulder seam to hem is about 53 inches long.
