This is a vintage, 1972 hand blown, green glass vase from the Jamestown Virginia Glasshouse gift shop. The Mid Century vase was hand blown by glass artisans only a few yards from where English colonist made their very first glass in America in 1608. Each piece is unique, one of a kind, with no pieces being identical. A pontil mark or scar is on the bottom. The color is matched to the original glass created by the colonists. This lovely vase has a ruffled rim and can be used as a bud, floral or decorative vase. I bought this vase from the gift shop in 1972 on a class field trip. Its in great shape, free from breaks or cracks. There are bubbles and imperfections in the glass, part of the glassmaking process. The vintage vase measures about 5.5" tall and 4" wide.
