80's-Does-40's-style VIXEN GLAM PEPLUM DRESS Turquoise and Black Tulip Print BY KAY UNGER Size 6 Description Wow! This is a stunner of a dress! This fabulous two-piece dress is vintage 80's, but it looks like a 40's glam vixen style. It is by Kay Unger for St. Gillian. Size 6. I believe the size is fairly accurate. It is shown on a size four mannequin, slightly clipped. My favorite feature - the fabric! It is a gorgeous art deco-style print - huge tulips in vivid turquoise and green, with forest green foliage, and touches of rich brown and chartreuse on a black background. The fabric is a gorgeous fine silk broadcloth with a bit of wool (90% silk, 10% wool.) This is a beautiful material, and it really resembles a vintage fabric. The dress has dolman sleeves which taper to a narrow wrist. Round neckline. Shoulder pads. Dramatic flared peplum. There is a wide waist yoke made of black ultrasuede. The front buttons with black ultrasuede-covered buttons. The waist yoke and peplum are lined with black silky material. The pencil-slim skirt has a waistband, nylon zipper and button. Back slit. The skirt is completely lined with black silky material. I just LOVE this dress. It would be so fabulous with a huge black picture hat, black seamed stockings, and some platform peeptoe shoes!
