For your collection fun is this rare silver piece from Poland post WW1 when Poland just gained independence. A whole set of essays were developed in 1920s to proudly present the new born ancient country of Poland. The hallmarks has a profile with 3 and W indicating silver content of .800 and from Warsaw. The maker W.H stands for Wladyslaw Hempel. They developed new styles "Zakopane Style" and "Slavic style". Tableware was commissioned by Polish Foreign Office for diplomatic missions around the world. The ladle measure 13.5 inches long and the round bowl is 3 1/2 inches across. The piece weighs 7.915 troy ounces or 246.2 grams. Beautifully crafted in a simple overall shape with Zakopane Style design on the tip. It will fit contemporary taste for daily use. Based on the hallmarks, estimated age is from 1920 - 1931.
