Antique Carte de Visite (CDV) Photograph. Identified as Cleon L. Webster and dated 1882. Photo by Kimball studio of Concord, New Hampshire. Measures approximately 2.5 x 4 including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition except for the bottom has been slightly trimmed. Comments: An on-line genealogy search reveals Cleon was born September 10, 1865. He died January 13, 1931 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery. He was the son of Amos Webster (born October 4, 1824 in Bolton, Vermont and died September 22, 1906 in Nashua, New Hampshire) and Martha Annis who were married in September, 1845, possibly in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Amos was a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War and served in the New Hampshire State Senate 17th District 1883-1884. Amos was also a leading member of the Washington D.C. National Guard, and a prominent furniture manufacturer in Nashua, New Hampshire. The siblings of Cleon included Laura B. (born September 20, 1863). A photocopy of this research will be included with the purchase of this item. This CDV Photo came from a small group of "Class of 1882" student portraits, most of them taken in a Concord, NH studio. However, we have not been able to establish the name of the school the students attended.
