FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA, I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE AT BUYER'S EXPENSE 1985 FIRST EDITION EASTERN 3 HOURS OF DAYTONA SUNDAY DECEMBER 1, 1985 EASTERN AIRLINES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE BY INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY GERALD W. LUDLAM Summary: Welcome to "The World Center of Racing" for the Eastern Airlines National Championship Finale of IMSA. Racing fans from all over the world have started a Thanksgiving tradition of visiting Daytona International Speedway for this tripleheader, which is sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association and sponsored by IMSA's Official Airline. As the curtain closes on IMSA's most successful season in its history, this 15th annual Eastern Airlines Finale shapes up as one of the biggest and most competitive ever here at Daytona. Over the years, the drivers in the Champion Spark Plug 100k and the Kelly American Challenge 100k have staged some of the most thrilling road races ever run on the 3.56-mile circuit, and this year should be no different. Of course, the Eastern Airlines 3 hours offers the exciting pageantry and competition of the world's most exotic prototype machines, as these talented Camel GT drivers seek to etch their names into Daytona's history along with the former winners.....names like Peter Gregg, Hurley Haywood, Danny Ongais, Gene Felton, Al Holbert and Derek Bell. About the Organization: International Speedway Corporation (ISC) is a corporation whose primary business is the ownership and management of NASCAR race tracks. ISC was founded by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. in 1953 for the construction of Daytona International Speedway and in 1999 they merged with Penske Motorsports to become one of the largest motorsports companies in North America. The company has played an important, though controversial, role in the modernization of the sport. It has worked with NASCAR to create new tracks and update older ones in an effort to improve the racing and the experience for spectators (though because both companies have several members of the France family in top positions, ISC's competitors have filed multiple lawsuits on antitrust grounds) and has constructed popular new tracks in regions previously thought uninterested in NASCAR (though this has upset some residents of nearby towns who do not want a NASCAR track in their back yard). The Daytona Finale was a sports car race held at the infield road course of the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The race was held from 1972 until 1986, and again in 1996, by the IMSA GT Championship. The race was revived in 2001 by the Grand American Road Racing Association. *LIKE NEW CONDITION* THE BOOK COVER HAS MINIMAL SHELF WEAR FRONT OF BOOK COVER HAS 1/8 OF AN TEAR ON BOTTOM EDGE AND TINY CREASE ON BOTTOM CORNER, APART FROM THAT THE BOOK IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THE BOOK HAS NORMAL SHELF WEAR PUBLISHED BY INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY CORPORATION GERALD W.
