This new relay contacts are made from an alloy that withstands high temperatures prevent those contacts from welding together when the relay heats up (which is a notorious problem with the old-type relays). The old model F1 pump relay has to be replaced every year, per Ferrari mechanics' recommendation. This NEW MODEL relay should be replaced only every 3-4 years !!!
