Sixty years later, Hellboy is an adult working with the doc as a "secret weapon" for the U.S. government. Only problem: he's a cigar-chomping, emotionally vulnerable wiseguy. He pines over former bureau denizen Liz (Selma Blair). Rasputin and his Nazi friends plan on using Hellboy to bring about the apocolypse. But Hellboy has lots of help from a strong supporting cast including an uncredited David Hyde Pierce as Abe Sapien.
