Item description

Antique Real Photo Postcard. Identified as the Swallow Tail Light on Grand Manan in New Brunswick, Canada. Divided back, used and postally cancelled from New Brunswick, Canada. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It has a pair of corner mount impressions, plus a third unusually positioned in the upper right sky region (perhaps from being pressed against the mount for a period of time), and adjacent small stain. Comments: Swallowtail Lighthouse and the surrounding buildings and peninsula are owned by the Village of Grand Manan and managed by the Swallowtail Keepers Society. Still an active aid to navigation, Swallowtail is much more than this. Swallowtail is held dear by islanders and visitors alike, not only for the lighthouse but for the majestic marine vista it affords.
