A new work by Julia Nuzhnova of Fedoskino. She took 55 days to finish this set. It has two pieces. One is a box with the Pirate and his Parrot and the second it the piece for the box to be placed on. The second is like a plack that has very detailed painting of an Octopus with Ocean background. The bottom of the lacquer box has a scene of saltwater fish swimming. Her works are always very small, but the details are excellent. Size: box is 2 by 2 by 1 inch, ( 5 x 5 x 2.5 cm) while the plack is 3 by 2.5 by 1/4 inch. ( 7.5 x 6.5 x 1 cm). The box is completely handpainted and handmade by the artist Nuzhnova. Nuzhnova is a graduate of Fedoskino Lacquer box Institute. The box is signed by her as well. We accept payment by paypal. Yulia was born in 1975 in the small town of Dmitrov, located in the Moscow region. From her early childhood, she loved to draw. Because of her outstanding artistic talent, she entered the Fedoskino Art School of Miniature Painting, graduating in 1998. At the same time, she continued her studies at Moscow University with the faculty of Fine Art and Folk Handicrafts. A primary sources for inspiration are music and nature. Often musical and floral scenes can be seen in her work. Many of her works differ from traditional Fedoskino miniatures. She enjoys non-typical compositions and uses unusual and interesting methods in her artistic creations. In addition, she likes to paint fairy tales and the poetry of Nature with its wonderful changing seasons. Yulia has stated, "I like my profession very much. I consider my creativity my greatest joy. And I will be immensely happy if my boxes bring you joy. Each one is painted with love and a little part of my soul."
