The music presented here was recorded in the Memorial Church at Harvard University, and are drawn from Carol Services traditional at Harvard for fifty years. The 18 carols here are a few representatives of the vast literature of German, English, and American carols. Possibly the oldest of the carols on this record is the Christmas song Personet Hodie, of which the words and melody come from Piae Cantiones, 1952.
