Item description

Vintage original 8x10 in. US mini lobby card from the classic 1960's Acapulco-themed drama, LOVE HAS MANY FACES, released in 1965 by Columbia Pictures and directed by Alexander Singer. Rich playgirl Kit Jordan (Lana Turner) is in Acapulco vacationing with her current husband, Pete Jordan (Cliff Robertson), formerly an American beach boy working the Acapulco shores for rich women. Meanwhile, the body of one of Pete's fellow beach boys, Billy Andrews, washes to shore. On his wrist is a bracelet engraved with "Love is thin ice." The police investigate whether it was murder or suicide. Conflict arises when Billy's old girlfriend, Carol (Stefanie Powers), makes a play for Pete, and beach boy Hank (Hugh O'Brian) tries to score with Kit, and the stability of the marriage is put to the test. The cast includes Ruth Roman, Virginia Grey, Ron Husmann, Enrique Lucero, Carlos Montalbรกn, Jaime Bravo, and Fanny Schiller. As indicated in the lower right corner, this is lobby card #2 from the set of 11 cards. The image features an interior shot of Kit Jordan (Lana Turner), wearing a zebra-print robe over a black one-piece bathing suit, as she watches her husband, Pete (Cliff Robertson), as he looks unhappy while having a drink. It is unrestored in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, creases, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws. Lana Turner's stunning wardrobe for this film cost a staggering $1 million. When Hugh O'Brian is first seen in this movie, he's bare-chested; when Cliff Robertson is first seen, he's bare-chested; and when Ron Husmann is first seen, he's also bare-chested. O'Brian spends more time with his shirt off here than in any of his other movies. Love Has Many Faces marked the film debut of actress Cynthia O'Neal and was shown in Britain as the lower half of a double-bill with The Bedford Incident.
