Hand carved Chinese preban ivory drunken scholar, with fitted rosewood stand.. From store we used to operate in SF Chinatown from the 50s to 80s. The scholar measured 5 1/2 " tall, 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/8" deep, weight 2 lbs 8 1/2 ozs.signed and marked Ming dynasty Ch'eng hua period(1495-1487), but probably from the late Qing dynasty. Excellent condition, no damage or repair. Guaranteed to be genuine African elephant ivory. All Ivory items ship to United States only.
