Beautiful, handmade NORDIC MODERN Henning Koppel (1918-1981) vase made in Humlebaek, Denmark. Color is two tone with matte brown at the base and off-white mottled/speckled glaze on top. Circular in shape, but with 7 rounded sides (heptagon). Unusual form by famous Danish designer Henning Koppel. This vase has a weighty base. Hand incised markings including, ?H over K, Humlebaek and Danmark?. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs noted. He is most known for his work for Georg Jensen silversmith in the years after World War II. In 1961, Henning Koppel began to expand into other materials and started to work with porcelain and ceramics.
