Item description

Comes in a big collectible, oversized vacu-form clamshell. The clear plastic cover is not as wavy looking in person as the photo makes it out to be. Cassette has a store branded foil security sticker on the left endcap assuring you of first generation quality. Pre-viewed for quality and played fine on my Fisher vcr. Lauren Cochran (Robin Groves), an agoraphobic writer of gothic novels (the title of one which gives the film its name), moves from New York to a remote, spooky Victorian mansion. It's the perfect place to give her inspiration and rid herself of writer's block. Originally a brothel in which a massacre took place, the house is now haunted by the ghosts of the victims and Groves becomes a pawn in their plans to revenge themselves upon their murderers. The movie also features Academy Award winner Gloria Grahame -- as the ghost of the brothel madam.
