This is a natural agate and sterling silver choker necklace. It is approximately 16 1/2" long. It is made up of 19 polished shield-shape pieces of agate and 18 4mm sterling silver round or ball spacer beads. The agate pieces vary in shape and size somewhat and are approximately 1 1/4" long x 3/4" wide. The shields are wider at the bottom and taper and are narrower at the top. The thickness varies also. The agate pieces vary in translucency also. See Photos. The color varies from agate piece to agate piece from gray to blue to lavender. Each piece of agate is unique. They are polished on all surfaces. In addition to the sterling round beads, the clasp, rings, crimps and crimp covers are sterling silver. The stringing wire used is sterling silver coated steel with a protective coating--extreme abrasion resistance. There is a tag identifying the metal as sterling. This was made by a local Denver jewelry designer and she only makes one-of-a-kind pieces --- no duplicates. I am downsizing and am selling most everything. Non-smoking household.
