Item description

Pre-viewed for quality and had a few lines on the first couple of prevues, then again at 49 minutes in it had some rolling lines, played fine otherwise on my JVC deck. Box has been cut and mounted in a white hardshell display case. It has a small 'sci-fi' sticker on the top left spine. The top back corner of the window has been taped up as it was torn away from the edge and wrinkled. The cassette is nice and clean and it is Out Of Print (OOP) in all formats and was never released domestically to dvd. Good computer graphics for its time on computer screens with some animation and a strong story makes this one of the better post nuke movies. The setting is a dreary, hopeless, sweaty 2057 A.D. where cybernetic humans (Omegans) are hunted down by killer cyborgs (Prototypes) and intrigue surrounds one scientist's attempt to alter the program. A lady scientist (Brenda Swanson) convinces a guy (Robert Tossberg) in a wheelchair to merge his soul into the body of a programmed robot, a very impressive ('Robocop'-copy) cyborg. A hooker (Lane Lenhart) who lives with her little "brother" discovers that she's really "Omega". A tuff guy with hair extensions and an Oriental sidekick snap's peoples necks. It doesn't all make that much sense, but it captures a nihilistic landscape and the sadness of humans/machines caught up in the bleakness of a shattered society and has a nasty edge to it.
