The clasp is in the large octagonal link. This is long enough to slip over your head or maybe wear as a belt. I have TESTED THIS using the semichrome polish test (see last picture). The condition is very good no chipped or cracked links no rust issues to steel links there are some soiling deposits/ corrosion to some of the links mostly near clasp. I have not cleaned this piece it is in original as found in estate condition. The patina to this piece is a personal taste so you can clean it if you prefer including the steel links.
