Item description

This is a RARE MCM Jaru Edmund Ronaky Freeform Sgraffito Art Pottery Lidded Box made in Laguna Beach, California in the early 1950's. It features an abstract design with Fish and is signed and numbered on the back as shown. It measures 8 1/2 inches long, 5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. I have never seen another lidded box by Edmund Ronaky!! This piece was probably not widely produced due to the lid not fitting snugly and most likely was a limited production. Aside for a few chips on the underside of the lid which are not visible when its closed, its in excellent condition. It was most likely meant to be a cigarette box. One of 4 pieces of Ronaky Pottery I have available, so check my other listings, thanks!
