Item description

So Dear To My Heart by Sterling North Dell Books, First Paperback Ed. (1949) Condition: Very Good - This story of a 10-year-old orphan, his proud, Scripture-quoting "Granny" and his spirited black lamb became Walt Disney's first mostly live action movie, and a fine one. This book was also among the earliest Disney movie tie-ins to appear in paperback. The front cover and quilt-inspired "mapback" illustrations were commissioned by Walt Disney Productions especially for this edition. Spine wear, front cover reading crease and more modest edge/corner wear, plus a short name pencilled at the top of the fc comprise the exterior wear. The interior has only slight wear and no markings on toned pages. An uncommon Dell title.
