Item description

This is the Sea Two dangerous men. One young couple. Soon, their destinies will collide. The film is set in Northern Ireland shortly after 1994 cease-fire. Hazel is a Protestant and Malachy a Catholic. Romance between them is threatened by Rohan (leader in militant underground and pal of Malachy's brother Padhar), who wants Malachy to be recruited and fight for the cause, and by Hazel's brother Jef, who spies on her meetings. Terrific acting, great music by Mike Scott and the Waterboys, Richard Harris and Gabriel Bryne give superb performances. And the young actors Ross McDade and Samantha Morton are equally memorable! if you want a story that fully shows the "troubles" of Northern Ireland this film is an excellent portrayal of the conflict.
