A 1980s Royal Doulton large "Granny" character jug with the face of an elderly woman with a tooth showing and a wimple under a black cap. The handle, a skein of wool, is flanked on either side with "Granny" in large script with a green accent. A Royal Doulton mark, "Granny" and the Doulton design, or D number, 5521 are on the bottom of the jug. No copyright or registration numbers are present. This version "Granny" jug was in production from 1941 - 1983. The jug is 6.25" (15.88 cm) tall. The "Granny" jug is in excellent condition.
