Large Hammered Copper Hoops 1.5" 30-36mm - and 50 similar items

Simple, delicate, and beautiful, these thin hoops are light enough to wear every day. A great variation on the classic hoop design, in copper or red brass! Looks fantastic with earthy tones. Red brass is also known as NuGold, Merlin's Gold, and other names - it starts off looking like 14k, and oxidizes to a lovely butterscotch or burnt caramel color. The first four photos show the copper hoops, in 20ga; the last photo shows the red brass hoops in 18ga, after they have oxidized for a while (yours will come to you freshly polished; you can leave them to oxidize or keep them polished). They are lightly hand-hammered for shape and strength, and then hand polished. One side is left smooth, and the other is given a satin texture, so you can choose from 2 different variations with one pair of earrings. These are shaped with a flat hammer, so the hammered marks are not prominent - if you want a more prominent hammered look let me know and I will finish one side with a ball-peen hammer instead. Red brass and copper will both oxidize, and may cause a greenish discoloratiion on the skin (which can be washed off) - see options below for skin guard coating.
