BI Antoninianus 24.5mm 2.85 g. Rome mint, struck c. 270-275 AD.
IMP AVRELIANVS AVG ~ Unabridged legend: Imperator, Aurelianus Augustus.
Translation: Supreme commander, Aurelian, emperor. Radiate and cuirassed bust of Aurelian to right.
Reverse: IOVI CONSER ~ Unabridged:
Iovi Conservatori.
Translation: To Jupiter the Protector. Emperor in military garb standing on left facing to right holding sceptre, receiving globe from Jupiter standing on the right and facing left, holding sceptre; P mintmark in exergue below ground line.
