Vintage original 14x22 in. Belgian poster from the 1960's West-German produced sci-fi horror crime thriller, DR. MABUSE VS. SCOTLAND YARD (German title: Scotland Yard jagt Dr. Mabuse), released in 1963 and directed by Paul May. Based on the novel by Bryan Edgar Wallace, the spirit of the evil Dr. Mabuse (Peter van Eyck) takes over the body of a famous professor. The professor/Dr. Mabuse then begins a new crime wave that terrorizes the city. The cast includes Agnes Windeck, Dieter Borsche, Werner Peters, Klaus Kinski, Wolfgang Preiss, and Sabine Bethmann.
Issued for the film's original theatrical release in Belgium, this very colorful poster depicts the film's major characters. Unrestored and folded once horizontally, this vintage original Belgian poster is in fine+ conditon with an additional clean horizontal fold just above the handwritten playdates from the original theatre exhibitor (presumably so it would fit inside of a pre-made frame); random signs of light wear in the borders; four pinholes in the blank imprint area; and some small scattered creases from handling over time. The rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
