Item description
? Linnea Lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea majus) is a low-growing evergreen shrub developed by B. Gustavsson in Sweden. This vigorous variety grows about 12 inches tall and spreads through stolons, making it ideal as a groundcover. Plant is about 2-4 inches tall, potted.
? Fruiting occurs in late September through October, producing medium-sized berries clustered closely along each stem. Plants are known for high yields and reliable performance year after year.
? This cultivar originated from an open-pollinated seed of the wild variety ‘Sana.’ It has strong vigor and natural resilience to common plant diseases, making it a dependable choice for home gardens and small orchards.
? Linnea Lingonberry thrives in acidic soils with a pH of 4.0–6.0 and grows best in well-drained sandy to sandy loam soils. Mulching in the first year is recommended to support root establishment and moisture retention.
? For planting, space rows 12 inches apart and allow 4–6 feet between aisles. It grows well in U.S.D.A. zones 3–8 with full sun to filtered sunlight. Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
